Post War Career
Joined the royal Navy in 1941 and served in M. T. Bs in the West Indies and America. He was commissioned in in 1943 and transferred to Instruction Staff for landing craft engineers. He took part in the D-Day landings and later served in India where he was Royal Navy Transport Officer at Bombay.
Won the seat of Eye for the conservatives in 1951. Member of the O. I. Club Committee. He had been President of the Suffolk R. N. V.R. Officers Association.
