IPSWICH SCHOOL WORLD WAR II 1939 – 45

Veteran Memorial Service

676 Old Ipswichians served in WW2

63 were killed or presumed killed,

21 posted as wounded,

16 invalided out 

44 were prisoners of war.

There were 121 decorations awarded.

 

This site has been set up to honour their memories and provide some insight into their lives before, during and after the conflict.

 

Please note that this site is “work in progress” and any information from relatives in correcting the material included or providing photographs or new material will be most welcome. If your relative has not yet been named, it is only because they have not yet been researched. If you respond, they will go to the top of the list.
