School Record

Broke House. Gained School Colours for Rugby 1st XV and Cricket XI. He also figured prominently in swimming and other games. He boxed and joined the School O.T.C and later helped to form the first Cadet Battalion of the Suffolk Regiment under Captain J. Smithertman, a master at the School.

Post War Career

He was first posted to Durham as an Instructor and then recommended for officer training. He was commissioned in 1940, having passed in the top three. He joined the 58th Medium regiment Royal Artillery and saw service in North Africa where he was wounded on 01/05/1943 Casualty list 1143 (previously 1131). He was subsequently posted to Sicily and Italy on combined operations. He was demobbed in 1946

He had joined Tollamache's Brewery prior to the War and , on his return ,he was appointed assistant sales Manager.and hen Sales Manager. He then became a Technical Director.
He was President of the O. I. Club in 1980.
