Brother Colin at School from 1937 to 1943. Married to Margaret Elaine with a son and 2 daughters.

School Record

Captain of Rugby 1937 and led the victorious unbeaten side of that year. He was President of Athletics and played for the School Fives Team and the Hockey X1. He was also a Prefect as his younger brother recalls since was beaten by him! He also loved acting and was an immense "Macbeth" and a superb "Ferrovius" in Androcles and the Lion. He was also a classical Scholar and sometime editor of the Ipswichian.

Post War Career

After his war service, he embarked on a career in Rhodesia in the tobacco trade. He then returned home and worked as an administrator with British Nylon Spinners. His true love, however, was being a publican and he carried on this trade in Devon until his retirement.
