Post War Career
He served with the 58th Medium Regiment Royal Artillery(Suffolk) and joined the British Expeditionary Force in 1940. He fought with the Regiment in Belgium and retreated to Menim near Ypres, before making its way to Dunkirk and rescue. All its guns and equipment were left behind. He subsequently served withe Newfoundland Regiment.
