It appears that Henry Edge originally joined the Air Force as a Pilot Officer and his seniority date was 09/07/1936. There is some evidence that he may have faced a Court Marshall and left the Service, presumably to return as a Sgt Pilot in the RAFVR in view of the shortage of trained personnel. Whatever the previous circumstances, he paid the ultimate price in aid of his Country.
